Key is not important for non-harmony settings. So selecting C (major that is) scale for Key, which doubles as Am (A minor), means you should play only the notes A, B, C, D, E, F, and G for the most harmonized results. These harmonizer effects are intended to be played in a certain major or minor scale. The Pitch menu lets you select pitches like +7 or -7, or harmonies which are intelligent pitch shift effects. The Blend control will let you use a fully shifted output, or the dry and wet signals mixed (a harmony). The result is this pitch “pedal” simulation that has most of what is great about guitar harmonizer pedals, and still preserves the signal’s integrity. Honestly though I can't tell at the moment if it's causing an issue with the pitch correction, but just assuming really. I'm frustrated that I have to do this workaround because I fear that the pitch correction may or may not be tracking as well because it has the comp, eq, and reverb before the pitch correction. It immediately removed 2 specific pops that were always in the exact same spot in the song, 100% of the time. I usually have my pitch correction first in my vocal chain, or after EQ, but in order to fix the pops this time around the only solution was to hold command key and drag the pitch insert plugin down AFTER my reverb plugin. Although it's not recommended, I had to specifically have the Logic PITCH CORRECTION insert/plugin AFTER my reverb plugin.
I finally figured out what got rid of the pops and clicks I was hearing. This issue was driving me nuts as I tried process of elimination for hours and hours.
